What is ESCAPE?

ESCAPE is the fun destination with exciting rides and games hosted in a natural environment.

ESCAPE re-introduces the play and values of yesteryear so to inject reality into a world over-dependent on an isolation-inducing electronic lifestyle. Through fun activities, with an emphasis on self-directed and self-powered play, the visitor experiences Low Tech, High Fun.

ESCAPE demonstrates there’s no age limit to having fun as the rides and games are designed for a wide range of age groups, abilities, and energy levels.

When is ESCAPE open?

ESCAPE is open 10:00am – 6:00pm, Tuesday – Sunday. ESCAPE is closed every Monday for maintenance.

How do I pay for items in ESCAPE?

During the ticket purchase process, an e-Wallet of at least RM20 will be created and is linked to the PASSCODE of the ticket. Additional e-Wallets can be easily created at the kiosks in the park and top-ups can also be completed at them too. Top-ups can be made with either cash or a credit card.

Unused credit in the e-Wallet can be refunded at the kiosks before leaving the park.

What kinds of clothing and attire are suitable for ESCAPE?

ESCAPE Adventureplay & Gravityplay: We highly recommend comfortable sports clothing and pants/shorts. Guests are required to wear close-toed shoes at Adventureplay & Gravityplay for safety reasons. Okay: sports shoes, sneakers (vans), close-toed sandals Not okay: slippers, open-toed sandals, 'Crocs', swimming shoes
ESCAPE Waterplay:
Please be reminded that you are required to bring proper swimwear for hygiene and safety reasons.

Does ESCAPE have lockers where I can store my belongings?

Lockers can be rented for RM10/locker/visit.
There are two sizes of lockers available on a first-come-first-served basis. The locker sizes (HxWxD) in cm is approx. 43x43x24 or 28x40x45.

Does ESCAPE have a party/function room available for rental?

Yes, ESCAPE has a party/function room that can accommodate approximately 60pax in a lecture-style (chairs only) seating arrangement. It can be rented for the day at RM424 along with an online ticket purchase under 'Corporates & Associations' or 'School Groups'.

What if it’s raining?

ESCAPE is an outdoor park. Rain does not stop play.

The only four attractions that temporarily close (for safety reasons) when it rains are Aerobat, Airbag, Tubby Racer and Jumping Jack.

If there is lightning in the area our Safety/Attractions Managers will make a decision whether to temporarily stop play based to the actual conditions.

It rarely rains all day at ESCAPE.

Can I buy Food and Beverage items in ESCAPE?

ESCAPE has a number of F&B outlets in the park and has a food court area that is open from 10:00am – 6:00pm. F&B purchases are made using an e-Wallet cashless system.

Is outside Food and Beverage allowed in ESCAPE?

Outside food and beverage is not permitted into the park, with the exception of baby food.

Does ESCAPE offer accommodation?

ESCAPE has a camping activity called BASE CAMP. It is available as a 2D1N Combo package which includes 2 days of access to ESCAPE and an overnight stay at BASE CAMP. You may find more information here. For alternative hotels nearby, you may check HotelsCombined.

Can I stay in BASE CAMP on an accommodation-only basis?

No, BASE CAMP is a Combo package that includes entry to ESCAPE.

Do you rent or sell swimwear at ESCAPE?

Yes, we do. We sell a variety of swimwear for men and women at our Merchandise Store. We also rent out the following swimwear:
Rash Guard (swimming T-shirt) - RM14 Burkini (Muslim swimwear) - RM9

Buying Tickets

Can I buy tickets online?

Yes you can purchase tickets online. The further ahead of the visit date that you purchase your ticket/s, the cheaper the ticket prices.

Can I change the date of my visit once I have purchased a ticket online?

Yes, you may change the visit date at least 1 day in advance (2 days in advance for 'Corporate & Associations' and 'School Group' tickets) of the original or new visit date, whichever comes first. A RM5.30 Administration fee will be charged per ticket upon successful change date in addition to any increased ticket price variance. You may change the ticket visit date here.

I’ve seen ESCAPE tickets offered on other websites. Are these official tickets?

ESCAPE’s only official ticketing portal is which is accessible from our website ( by clicking the ‘Buy Tickets’ button. We do not comment on unofficial online portals other than to caution people considering making a purchase through an unofficial portal that purchasing a voucher is not the same as purchasing a valid ESCAPE ticket from and the ‘offer’ price shown on unofficial portals may not necessarily be the final price that will need to be paid. Only guests with a valid ESCAPE ticket will gain entry to the park.

I have purchased a ticket, can I add additional people to it?

We suggest that the ticket be purchased once the total number of people is finalised, as it's not possible to add additional people to a ticket once it has been purchased. If additional people wish to accompanying you to ESCAPE all they need to is purchase a separate ticket, but do note that some group tickets have a minimum requirement of 20pax.

Can I buy seperate tickets to ESCAPE Adventureplay or ESCAPE Waterplay or ESCAPE Gravityplay only?

We do not sell separate tickets to ESCAPE Adventureplay only or ESCAPE Waterplay or ESCAPE Gravityplay.

How to I 'claim' my ticket once I bought it online?

You will receive an Online Ticket Confirmation email after you have purchased your ticket. It will contain a 5-digit passcode which you will need to enter the park. There will be no physical ticket (e.g. wristband, card) We suggest having the Online Ticket Confirmation email ready on your phone or printed before you arrive at ESCAPE.

Can I refund my ticket?

As stated in our Terms and Conditions, all transactions are final and tickets are non-refundable.

How to Malaysian Super Kids (61-100+) get their free tickets?

Malaysian Super Kids will have to present their Malaysian IC at the ticket counter upon arrival and show that each Super Kid is accompaied by 1 paying guest. Malaysian Super Kids intending to claim their free tickets need not buy tickets online.

Do you provide discounts for OKU cardholders?

We provide free entrance for OKU cardholders as long as they present their OKU cards at the ticket counter upon arrival.

Can I buy a ticket for a later visit date at the ticket counter?

Unfortunately no, we only sell walk-in tickets at the ticket counter. Please purchase our tickets here if you would like to visit at a later date.

Getting to ESCAPE

Is there a public bus that stops at ESCAPE?

Both Rapid Penang buses 101 and 102 stop at ESCAPE. If you present your bus fare ticket at the ticketing counter ESCAPE will redeem the value into your e-Wallet. Rapid Penang’s Journey Planner can be viewed here.

Does ESCAPE offer transportation (e.g. shuttle buses) to ESCAPE?

ESCAPE does not provide any transportation to ESCAPE. You may, however, take the 101 or 102 public bus which stops at ESCAPE.

Where is ESCAPE located?

ESCAPE is located at 828, Jalan Teluk Bahang, 11050 Teluk Bahang, Penang.

Team Building

Does ESCAPE provide a Team Building activity?

Yes, we do. Teamplay is a free add-on for groups of at least 10 pax who have purchased a Corporates & Associations Group ticket. Below is a description:

In Teamplay, participants have a limited time to complete activities at ESCAPE and collect points. The more challenging the activity, the higher the points. Teams may decide which activities to tackle and how many points to aim for.

Once time is up, the facilitators will tally the scores and announce the winning team. Certificates will be handed out to participants who have successfully completed the programme.

Do Teamplay participants get a certificate?

Participants who successfully complete Teamplay receive a certificate. The corporate company must provide a name list showing the names to be written on the certificates at least 2 days before the visit date.

Does ESCAPE provide a large group and Family Day activities?

Yes we do and it’s called Family Play.

Can we conduct a site visit before booking a corporate event?

You may conduct a site visit between the following hours, Tuesday - Sunday. ESCAPE is closed on Mondays. Please give at least 24 hours notice for your visit request to be processed. Morning visit: 10:00am - 11:00am Afternoon visit: 4:00pm - 5:00pm The site visit group may include up to 5 people. Can I request a Tax Invoice for my company ticket purchase?

How do I sign up for Teamplay?

To sign up for Teamplay, please buy tickets under 'Corporates & Associations'. After selecting the number of Kids, select the checkbox “Please sign me up for Teamplay, ESCAPE’s team building programme!” before proceeding to the next page.

Can I pre-order lunch with my team building programme?

Yes, you can. When buying tickets under 'Corporates & Associations', a menu will appear where you can order lunch. You will need to order lunch at least two days in advance of your visit date.

Can I buy tickets under 'Family & Friends' and sign up for ESCAPE's team building programme?

No. Tickets bought under 'Family & Friends' do not entitle guests to ESCAPE's team building programme. If you wish to do so, please purchase tickets under 'Corporates & Associations' and select the Team Building checkbox.
